Channels: the complete guide
Your channel is your home on BharatCall Videos: your videos, Shorts, live streams and posts in one place, plus subscribers and analytics.
1What is a channel?
Everyone has a channel at bharatcall.app/@your-username. It has tabs for Home, Videos, Shorts, Live, Posts and About. Anyone can watch your public videos, even without logging in.
2Set up your channel
- Open your channel and tap Set up channel (or Customise).
- Add a name and a description, and your location if you like.
- Choose a category, a sub-category and up to a few topics. These help the right viewers find you.
- Add up to 5 links (Instagram, website…).
- Upload a profile photo and a banner, and choose a featured video for the Home tab.
3Upload videos, Shorts and go live
Tap Create:
- Upload video: up to 250 MB, with a title, description, #hashtags and thumbnail
- Create a Short: a vertical video up to 90 seconds
- Go live: stream from a YouTube Live or video link
- Create post: text and photos for your community
Not ready? Save draft and finish later in Studio. See Upload a video or a Short.
4Subscribers and the bell
Viewers tap Subscribe. The bell lets them choose:
- All: every upload
- Personalised: live streams, plus uploads from creators they watch
- None
When you upload or go live, subscribers are told according to their bell.
5How people find your videos
- Search looks at titles, descriptions and #hashtags.
- Trending ranks tags and videos by how many different people engage.
- Recommendations use what viewers like, their interests, language and region.
Good titles, a clear thumbnail and 2–5 relevant #hashtags help most.
6Creator Studio
Open Studio to see views, watch time, followers, your best hashtags and when your audience is active. In Content you can edit titles, descriptions and thumbnails, see each video's analytics and retention, and delete videos. See Creator Studio.
7Watching on a channel
Viewers can sort a channel's videos by Latest, Popular or Oldest, and search inside the channel.
8Get the Creator badge
Active creators can request the Creator badge; it shows next to your name everywhere. See Verified badges.
9Channel rules
Upload only what you have the right to share. Spam (repeating the same text, mass posting) pauses posting for a while; see Spam rules. Videos that break our guidelines are removed.
